Drive yourself or add a private driver: economy hybrids to 4x4s and 8-seat minivans
Rent a car in Georgia with or without a driver: we hand it over at Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi airport or at your hotel, and you return it in any of the three cities. Georgia is a good country to see by car: Kazbegi, Kakheti and Borjomi are a few hours from Tbilisi, and the road west runs on to Kutaisi and the Black Sea.
Pick a car below. The prices are per car per day in US dollars, with one price for the quiet months and one for summer and early autumn. Send us your dates and where you want the car, and we reply with the car we have for you and the total. Nothing to pay now.
Each listing is a specific model from our own fleet or from a local rental company we work with. When we reply, we confirm the exact car, its year and colour. All the cars here are automatic.
Hybrids that use little fuel. Good for two travellers in the cities, Kakheti and the main highways.

Any car above can come with a driver who knows the roads, for $50 a day on top of the car. You pay for fuel either way. When the driver stays overnight away from home, add $35 a night for their bed and meals. For a one-way ride, such as from the airport to your hotel, a transfer is simpler.
Economy hybrids cost $25–$40 a day, depending on the car and the season, and 4x4s $35–$170. For 7 days or more the daily price is 15% lower. Every car's prices are listed above.
The main highways between Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi and the roads to Kakheti and Kazbegi are paved and in good condition. Local driving can be fast and assertive, and cows on the road are common in the countryside, so allow more time than the map suggests and avoid driving mountain roads after dark.
Traffic drives on the right. Speed limits are 60 km/h in towns, 90 km/h outside them and 110 km/h on motorways, and the alcohol limit is 0.3‰. Headlights must be on in signed tunnels. There are no road tolls. Speed-camera fines go to the car's owner, so they reach you through us, sometimes weeks after the trip.
Not for the cities, Kakheti, Borjomi, Kazbegi or Mestia: those roads are paved. You need a real 4x4 for gravel tracks such as the Juta and Truso valleys and the road to Tusheti, and it helps on the road to Ushguli after rain.
Yes, with the winter tyres that come with the car from December to March. The Jvari Pass can close for hours to 1–3 days after snow; check the road before you set off, and we can tell you if it is open.
Drivers must be 21 or older and have held a licence for at least 2 years. Bring your passport, your licence and the deposit; if the licence is not in Georgian or Latin letters, add an International Driving Permit or a certified translation.
Yes, with our written permission and the documents the border asks for; tell us at least 3 days before you go and we include the permit in your quote. Azerbaijan's land border is closed to travellers, and cars cannot be taken to Turkey, Russia, Abkhazia or South Ossetia.
Yes. Any car can come with a driver for $50 a day on top of the car price, plus fuel. If you also want the driver to guide you, a private tour with a driver-guide is the better fit.
Pick-up and return dates, the city and the car you would like: we reply with the car we have for you and the total. Nothing to pay now.
