ממוקמת על גבעה מעל מצחטה, מנזר ג'וארי מהמאה ה-6 הוא אחד מאתרי המורשת העולמית של אונסק"ו המגדירים של גאורגיה, שנבנה לזכר נצרותה של הארץ. שמו פירושו 'צלב', והכנסייה האבנית הפשוטה משכה עולי רגל ומטיילים מזה מאות שנים כעמוד תווך של האורתודוקסיה הגאורגית. מהמרפסת מביטים על מפגש שני נהרות ועל קתדרלת סוועטיצחוולי למטה – הכל רק נסיעה קצרה מטביליסי.
